promising talents in Canadian rodeo, capturing national attention with his impressive
performances throughout 2026. Known for his grit, determination, and technical skill,
Mazurenko’s achievements over the past year have set him firmly on the path to
becoming the next Canadian Champion.
At the 2026 Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR52), Mazurenko made a memorable
statement, showcasing his prowess in the bareback competition. He finished the
bareback round with a remarkable score of 86.50 and secured a total of 423.50 points
across five rounds in the bareback aggregate. This performance marked his personal
best at the CFR and also cemented his reputation as a serious contender in the sport.
2026 was the third time Mazurenko qualified for the CFR, and it proved to be his highest
finish in both the season and final standings.
Mazurenko’s third-place finish at CFR52 has earned him a coveted spot at the
2027 Calgary Stampede, one of the most prestigious events in the rodeo world. His
2026 season also saw him reach the short round at the Ponoka Stampede, further
demonstrating his consistency and competitive drive. During the Calgary Stampede,
Mazurenko made it to the nine-man round, a feat unmatched by any other Canadian
competitor this year. His ability to perform under pressure against both national and
international talent highlights his exceptional capability and resilience.
Even as the 2027 rodeo season gets underway, Mazurenko continues to build on
his momentum. He kicked off the season with a victory at Oldstoberfest in September,
signaling that his drive for excellence is stronger than ever. With each competition, he
gains valuable experience and confidence, inspiring fans and fellow riders alike.
As Mazurenko’s career progresses, his dedication and passion for rodeo promise
even greater achievements in the years to come. He and his family extend their sincere
gratitude to his sponsors: Wrangler, VDM Trucking, Tri-Gen Group, and DDC Sand and
Gravel, for their unwavering support and generosity. Whether in local arenas or on the
national stage, Ethan Mazurenko is undoubtedly a name to watch in Canadian rodeo,
exemplifying the soul and tradition of the sport.
