Redwater Dental Clinic is giving back to the community with the launch of its Community
Smile Makeover Initiative, offering one local resident a personalized smile makeover at no
cost.
The initiative coincides with the completion of renovations at the clinic and is intended to
recognize the support the community has shown over the years.
“As we renovate Redwater Dental Clinic, we want to create a space our team is proud of and
that the community can feel proud to call its own,” said Dr. AJ. “It felt only right that, while
we were giving the practice a fresh start, we also gave someone in our community the
opportunity to experience that same sense of confidence and pride through a new smile.”
Community members are invited to nominate a friend, family member, neighbour or
coworker whose life could be positively changed by dental treatment but for whom the cost
of care has been a barrier. Self-nominations will not be accepted, and nominees must be
aware of and consent to the nomination.
Nomination emails should include a brief description of the nominee, why the opportunity
would make a meaningful difference in their life, and confirmation that they have agreed to
be nominated. The clinic asks that medical records, dental photographs and other sensitive
health information not be submitted at this stage.
After nominations close Sept. 30, the clinic will review eligible submissions and select one
potential recipient based on financial need, the potential impact of treatment and clinical
suitability. The selected nominee will then undergo a dental examination before treatment
is confirmed.
Dr. AJ said all information submitted through the nomination process will be handled
privately and reviewed only by team members involved in selecting the recipient.
“We hope this initiative shows how grateful we are to be part of Redwater and how
committed we are to giving back,” he said.
