The Kinette Club of Smoky Lake is excited to announce the opening of the
Smoky Lake Corn Maze, now in its fifth year. The maze, which spans approximately 2-3
acres, officially opened its “doors” (corn stalks?) this past September long weekend and
will remain welcoming visitors until Halloween. This annual attraction has become a
highly anticipated part of the community, offering a perfect outing for families looking to
enjoy the great outdoors while supporting a worthy cause.
With all proceeds benefiting the various initiatives of the Kinette Club, the corn
maze is not just a fun activity; it is a way to give back to the Smoky Lake community.
During the Smoky Lake Great White Pumpkin Fair, the club charges a modest entrance
fee of $5. However, visitors to the corn maze outside of that weekend are encouraged to
contribute via donation. This method makes it accessible to everyone. The donation-
based entry allows families to enjoy a day of adventure without breaking the bank and
creates an activity that does not have families questioning if this is something that can fit
in their budget. The maze offers a unique opportunity for friends and family to test their
skills in an outdoor puzzle, challenging themselves in teamwork and problem-solving
skills along the way.
Whether navigating through the twists and turns of the maze or soaking in the
picturesque fall landscape, the Smoky Lake Corn Maze promises an unforgettable
experience. Contributions can be made easily via e-transfer to
slkinetteclub@gmail.com. So, grab a direction-oriented crew, embrace the crisp autumn
air, and get ready for an adventure that supports the the Kinette Club of Smoky Lake
and all that they do…hopefully all without getting too terribly lost. Don’t miss out on this
fall season to check out the Smoky Lake Corn Maze!
