North Corridor Co-op held its second annual Easter Candy Scramble at the Thorhild Home Centre on April 4. Children aged ten and under were invited to come “scramble” for treats and treasures hidden in piles of shredded paper for a little Easter fun. Last year the event was held in the grocery store building, but it was decided that the home centre had more space. The children were grouped up by age and given a short amount of time to run into the area and try to find as many goodies as they could to fill their baskets or bags. The event is a little crazy but a lot of fun. This year, 40+ children attended and filled the Home Centre with noise and excitement. Guy Berkner commented several times, “This is awesome! This is so much fun!” and offered a special thanks to all the families for coming out and making the event a success.
