Redwater HYPE is still offering August summer programs for children throughout the community. Check out their Facebook page, Redwater HYPE or look on the Town of Morinville for additional information. Attendees can register ahead of time (links are on Facebook), but drop-ins are also welcome. The focus of the group is to promote positive mental health in children, youth, and families.
BOKS Babies is a program offered every Monday morning from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Redwater curling rink at 4944 53 Street. Parents with children under six can look forward to this hands-on program which is a fun opportunity to support little growing minds at play. Mondays also include a garden club from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm which children can partake in garden-themed activities. Breakfast club is held every Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Redwater School at 5023 50 Ave. Guests can look forward to items like fruit kabobs, DIY omelets, and much more. Wednesdays offer Artists in Action where kid’s can explore their creative sides and runs from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at various parks like; Southside Park, Patony Park, Ochre Park and Poplar Park. Drop-in sports are also at Pembina Field House at 4944 53 Street Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Thursday hosts Wonder, Wander, a program designed for the explorer in all of us; and starts at the Redwater school and goes from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Every Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, groups can get together for Ride and Go Seek and explore through town seeking new locations on their choice of wheels, but don’t forget a helmet and end the adventure with a fun round of water sports.
