In a charming recent interview with Santa Claus, following a whirlwind weekend
filled with festive events throughout the County of Thorhild, he expressed his excitement
about returning to the area one last time before his journey back to the North Pole for
the big day. Santa chuckled as he recounted nearly forgetting about the quaint town of
Newbrook, but he felt a wave of relief wash over him upon realizing he still had time to
visit.
Mark the calendar for December 13th, as the Newbrook Rec & Ag Society invites
everyone to their enchanting Christmas Market and Light Up event. The air will be filled
with the mouthwatering aroma of freshly made perogies, reminiscent of the delightful
meals prepared by babas everywhere. The evening invites guests to linger and savor
these delicious homemade perogy dinners, accompanied by the love and warmth of the
season. But that’s not all—local bakers, the amazing ladies of Newbrook, will also unveil
their culinary talents with an array of delicious pies, ensuring that no sweet tooth goes
unsatisfied. The Christmas pie sale promises to be a sell-out feature, calling to
attendees that they need a pie to take home for the holidays.
As guests continue to wander through the market, they’ll find an array of vendors
offering unique goods and a chance to purchase tickets to win exciting door prizes,
enhancing the festive atmosphere. Children and families will delight in the sleigh rides,
organized and brought by volunteers Logan Ross and Albert Hiemstra, who will whisk
riders around town, allowing them to bask in the magical display of lights that residents
have lovingly set up to illuminate the spirit of the season.
The Newbrook Christmas Market and Light Up will take place at the community
hall from 5 PM to 8 PM. Don’t miss this chance for an evening filled with joy, community
spirit, and, most importantly, the opportunity to see Santa one final time before he
embarks on his journey home!
