Popsicle Playground and Painting in the Park. Join the town summer staff and
Redwater Hype at a local park every Wednesday morning from 10 am – 12 pm for FREE
drop-in play events. It’s a time for families of all ages to come together, connect, and,
most importantly, have a blast! There will be games, activities, art projects, and free
frozen treats (while supplies last). Children of all ages are welcome, and The Town of
Redwater, in partnership with Redwater Hype, is focused on ensuring everyone has a
great time: please note that children under six years old MUST be supervised by a
responsible guardian (14+). A huge thank you goes to North West Redwater
Partnership for their generous sponsorship and support of Redwater summer programs.
This fun-filled program encourages children to dress in their finest ‘ready-for-a-
mess’ clothing, enjoy creative freedom, and unleash their inner artists. The focus is on
creation, not tidy cookie-cutter creation. While enjoying a cool treat is a definite
bonus of the Popsicle Playground Wednesday morning programming, families and
children have the opportunity to visit all the wonderful green spaces available for their
enjoyment through the Town of Redwater. The melted popsicle sticky fingers and paint-
smudged outfits are a perfect ensemble to enjoy a morning of play and connection.
Popsicle Playground and Painting in the Park is a fantastic opportunity to grab a
(treasure) map of the town and follow it through a summer of adventure and discovery.
The Redwater HYPE (Helping Young People Excel) program is an outstanding
and impactful initiative aimed at empowering and supporting students in both their
school and community settings. The program places a strong emphasis on promoting
mental well-being and building resilient community connections. Through a wide range
of diverse and engaging activities and initiatives, Redwater HYPE provides local youth
with opportunities to engage in enriching experiences that promote their personal
growth and holistic development.
