The day began with the enchanting scent of sizzling bacon and brewing coffee drifting
from Egremont Hall, rousing the sleepy town to life. As always, the dedicated volunteers
of the Egremont Community Club were bustling about, preparing a scrumptious morning
feast to kick off their highly anticipated annual event.
The morning unfolded with a dazzling exhibition lining the main streets of Egremont, of
meticulously restored vintage cars, trucks, and tractors at the much-anticipated car
show. The air buzzed with excitement as the spirited parade signaled the official
commencement of Egremont Days, featuring a procession of whimsically decorated
floats adorned with vibrant colors and imaginative themes, delighting the crowd as they
were showered with an assortment of candies and treats. The festivities continued with
an array of engaging activities, including lively games, creative face painting, and a
plethora of egg-related fun for the young ones, while the adults reveled in lighthearted
competition with an entertaining game of chicken bingo.
Egremont Days concluded with an exuberant atmosphere, featuring a delightful array of
tempting aromas as dedicated volunteers tantalized attendees with the sizzle and scent
of a delectable steak supper. The local community came together to savor a sumptuous
BBQ dinner, served up on actual glass plates, no paper dishes would hold the massive
feast. The Egremont Community Club extended a huge thank you to all those who
generously supported the event, as well as the devoted volunteers whose time, hard
work, and smiles contributed to the resounding success of this memorable occasion.
