Robert Manolson has been a recent guest to Redwater not once, but twice within a short
period of time. Manolson is a Certified Career Development Professional and business owner of
Powerful Play Experiences, Positive Workplace Mental Health…For Teams! In his own words,
Manolson builds on the belief that “we all need more fun at work”. He is dedicated to initiating
open and supportive dialogues about improving mental health in the workplace. Additionally, he
is committed to promoting team building through dynamic, play-centered workshops aimed at
enhancing learning experiences.
On February 14th, during the Redwater Community Business Meeting, Robert Manolson
was initially approached to deliver a presentation. His approach to presenting on that day was
influenced by the fact that he was meeting the attendees for the first time, which led him to adopt
a relaxed and inclusive attitude. “I’m more of a Workshop Facilitator, so I need to first read the
room before I properly engage with everyone,” Manolson explained. His willingness to invite
input and feedback from all the attendees created an environment where an assortment of non-
traditional business topics, including better mental health at work, could be openly discussed. He
then posed a question: “I’m here for you today. So, what do we want to talk about and walk away
with?”
Manolson offers a personal perspective and intimate understanding when dealing with
mental illness, living with and managing his own depression and anxiety enables him to connect
on a deeper level. His unparalled ability to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere creates an
informal setting like a chat over coffee. Everyone was open to starting a conversation on the
importance of better mental health at work with plenty of encouragement to participate and share
their perspectives on the topic.
Robert Manolson is known for his remarkable ability to infuse his unique personality into
any event he hosts. His approach is characterized by a subtle yet powerful influence that allows
natural, organic conversations to unfold. Leveraging his skill in creating a relaxed and inviting
atmosphere, he successfully brings people together to address the crucial topic of mental health
in the workplace. Manolson demonstrates a deep understanding of the individual circumstances
of each participant, taking into account their concerns regarding mental health and their personal
interactions within the workplace. With a focus on play-based team building, his approach aims
to unearth the inner child within each individual, fostering a sense of joy and camaraderie.
Furthermore, he views each professional engagement as an opportunity for genuine dialogue and
connection. Rather than speaking to an audience, he seeks to engage in meaningful conversations
with them. His only request is that each participant “brings their smiles, brings their happy”, and
a willingness to embrace fun. The outcome of this approach is not a definitive resolution, but
rather a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives that may be considered and potentially
implemented in the future.
After the successful presentation at the Redwater Community Business Meeting, Robert
Manolson was approached by the Redwater & District Chamber of Commerce to host their
recent Career & Job Fair. He accepted the opportunity to assist with career development and
engage in a presentation on interview skills. His approach to hosting the career fair was to work
the room, connect with people, hear their stories, encourage interaction between the vendors and
potential employees, offer advice, and simply be there to make personal connections.
Redwater was incredibly fortunate to have the expertise of Robert Manolson in
facilitating these recent events. His exceptional talent for bringing people together in a natural
and organic manner, without relying on predefined plans or a formal program, truly made the
events memorable and successful. His ability to create a sense of unity and collaboration among
the participants was truly remarkable, and his skill in fostering an environment where everyone
felt included and engaged was truly invaluable.. Learn more about Robert Manolson and
