The Redwater & District Chamber of Commerce recently organized a valuable
event for the community. They partnered with many community organizations from
Redwater and surrounding areas, along with the generosity of various sponsors, to offer
a fantastic Career Fair showcasing numerous opportunities in the local area. The fair
featured local businesses from retail to mechanical to health services
The career fair was an essential event that connects potential employers with
potential employees in an informal setting. This allows both parties to have meaningful
conversations about potential careers and employment opportunities. Employers can
share information about their business, job roles, and interact with potential employees.
Employees, on the other hand, can ask questions about job openings, career paths, and
discuss their career priorities.
The career fair also included a series of informative sessions. One of these
sessions taught local job seekers how to update their resumes to ensure accurate
representation of all their skills and work experience, making them stand out to potential
employers. Over 250 potential employees attended the career fair at Pembina Place. It
was a fantastic opportunity for all attendees to connect with the various vendors and
partnerships set up for professional engagement.
The Redwater & District Chamber of Commerce extends a heartfelt thank you to
all the vendors for their dedication and involvement with each individual who visited the
career fair. The success of the event would not have been possible without their
amazing interactions. We also express our gratitude to all the sponsors and partners,
with a special thanks to Robert Manolson, who took the time to assist each job seeker
on their journey to finding employment.
