The Smoky Lake HA Kostash High School reunion took place Saturday, July 8th, at the Smoky Lake Senior
Drop-In Center. The reunion was organized for the graduating class of 1970-71 and proved to be a
nostalgic gathering for the attendees. Out of the 34 individuals who attended, 29 were captured in a
memorable group photo.
The organizers and the reunion committee deserve special recognition for their hard work in
orchestrating a delightful day filled with reminiscing and reconnecting with former classmates. For
many, it was a reunion long overdue, as some hadn’t seen each other since their high school days, which
spanned 52 to 54 years ago. The event served as an opportunity to rekindle old friendships and create
new memories.
The Smoky Lake HA Kostash High School Reunion will hold a significant place in the hearts of those who
attended, as it surpassed expectations and left an indelible impression. The efforts put into organizing
the event paid off, resulting in a gathering that will be cherished and remembered for years to come.
