Thorhild Minor Ball has officially begun its season. The ball diamonds have come alive
again with the activity of children and supportive parents. With an outpouring of community
interest, the organization now has twenty-four children in t-ball and seventy-eight children
between the U7, U11, U13 baseball teams and U9, U15 softball teams. Players were excited to
host their first home game on May 10. President Kerrie Stanko has said the season has been
amazing so far. “It’s better than I could have imagined. Things are progressing great, and it’s a
wonderful thing for the community.” Stanko also commented that the stands have been
packed for all the games. With games or practices occurring almost nightly, local fans of the
sport are encouraged to stop by and cheer on the players. The ball season will run until mid-
June, so there is plenty of time to come show your support.
