It’s wonderful to hear that the Kindergarten students at Smoky Lake’s H. A. Kostash had the opportunity to spend time with their Grade 6 Reading Buddies last Thursday! Reading buddy programs can be a valuable experience for both the younger and older students involved. The Kindergarten students get to practice their reading skills with supportive and patient older students, while the Grade 6 students get to develop their leadership and mentorship skills. These types of programs can also foster positive relationships between the different grade levels and create a supportive learning community within the school. Overall, it sounds like the Kindergarten students had a great time and it was a beneficial experience for everyone involved!
