The Redwater Quilters Guild has a new home in the Redwater Alliance Church. Members of the guild moved supplies over and set up at their new location, with their first meeting taking place on January 14.
The group meets every two weeks, with the next meeting taking place on January 28. Meetings will take place every two weeks until the final meeting for this session on May 11, before resuming in September.
The group meets to share ideas, work on items, and create quilting projects that members make both for themselves and to donate.
“We have plans to make at least four or more charity quilts in this session,” shared Peggy Turner, President of the Redwater Quilters Guild. Members are welcome to share in working on the charity quilts or complete their own work.
The new location has lots of space for the quilters to spread out, and Turner said that new members are always welcome. If community members are just interested in what the guild is getting up to, “people are welcome to stop by to see what we are doing and ask questions,” explained Turner.
