Through October, the Redwater Library has many fun and exciting programs planned for the community members of Redwater. In its entirety, you can look forward to movie nights, tabletop games, toddler story times and much more. The Redwater Library is located at 4915 48 Street, opposite the town office in the same building.
The Redwater Library presents many fun activities for all ages to do throughout the year for all community members, along with fundraising. They have specific fun programs planned that happen every Wednesday and Thursday, like tabletop games, afternoon toddler story time, and parent-child mother goose. While also offering Kids Take N Make Kits, a fun-filled pack that includes everything your child would need to create the chosen craft. Many activities like this are great for developing your child’s mind and creativity. Drop-in programs like Makerspace and after-school S.T.E.A.M are also offered through October. Electronic Roundup was also hosted at the library, where community members were encouraged to declutter and recycle old electronics. A parent-led movie night is offered on October 28 at 6 pm, where families and individuals are asked to bring a pillow and blanket to curl up with their families and friends. On October 25, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the Redwater Library will team up with H2H Designs and bring the world of crafting to the community.
Alicea Paszek, Library Director, said, “The library does programs as a community-informed organization. We offer free programs for youth and free library cards leading to free E-Resources. The free library cards are offered to residents of Redwater and Sturgeon County. Programs for children are essential to the community of Redwater, so we base our monthly programs on what the community needs. Our goal with the programs is to ensure it is as barrier-free for the community members as possible. We offer free Wi-Fi, public computers, and a children’s playroom to anyone with a library card among all our posted programs. We also encourage the community members to get a library card so we can stay barrier-free. The best way to support a library is to get a library card!”
The Redwater Library is a great place to go if you want to spend quality time with loved ones, and it offers a fantastic way to make new friends or if the children need something to do after school.
