In the “Barf Bag Lab”, we learned about anaerobic respiration by mixing yeast, water, and crushed-up cereal in a ziploc bag and removing all the oxygen. The yeast used anaerobic respiration to convert glucose into energy without oxygen. This process produced carbon dioxide and ethanol.
