Votes were tallied for the Redwater Quilters Guild quilt show on Saturday, July 23, in Radway. Margaret Newell collected a first-place ribbon for her large “Sundance” quilt. Also, Lois Andrews collected both second- and third-place ribbons in the large quilts category for her “Stash Stars” and “Hawaiian Sampler” quilts. In the medium quilts category, first place went to Bev Saal/Karen Berger for their “Harlequin Halloween” quilt, followed by Vicky Dybalo-Shears in second place with “My Kinda Town” and Shelly Iseke picking up third place with “Safari So Goodie.”
Ribbons for small quilts went to Bev Saal’s cute scarecrow wall hanging in first place, Liz Kammermayer’s paper pieced table runner in second place, and Peggy Turner’s Jack-O’-Lantern wall hanging in third place.
The quilters were delighted to have over a hundred viewers vote on their favourite quilts. Redwater Quilters Guild starts up again in mid-September.
