On the evening of July 13, owner Barbra Bill of Double B Event Planning hosted a Full Moon Party with the help of her sister Tara MacDougall. The beautiful event was held next to the Pinewood Hall in Opal. The fun-filled event began at 7:30 pm and lasted until 11:00 pm. The event included crafts, outdoor art, beginner rituals, light snacks, and an informational kit.
Barbara said, “The event is held for fun and is something different for an evening out. It is beginner’s level and a way to celebrate one of the most beautiful things in the world, the moon!”
Everything was set up so elegantly, and candles glistened around the area along with the intense glow from the fire. Attendees were dressed in all white and started the event with a blessing to Mother Earth. Followed by some crafts and “setting their intentions.” The crowd raced around while doing the nature scavenger hunt, looking for all sorts of items. Women and men laughed and enjoyed each other’s company while they danced around the fire. Near the night’s end, guests closed the event with a sunset ritual and a drawing down the moon ceremony.
Barbara said, “It was absolutely amazing and so much fun, educational and an easy-going event under the moon! The turnout was fantastic, and I look forward to hosting another event soon.”
